Genki Nomad Run

Official Rules

Nomad Run is a community challenge organized by Genki ("Genki", "we", "us"). By registering and taking part, you agree to these rules.

1. WHAT NOMAD RUN IS

Between September 15 and December 31, 2026, participants around the world run and walk with the shared goal of covering one full lap of the planet, 40,075 km, together. Every kilometer a participant logs and shares according to these rules counts toward the shared total and earns entries in a prize draw for a cash prize of €499 (the price of a one-year Wizz Air All You Can Fly membership). On January 2, 2027, one winner is drawn at random from all valid entries.

2. WHO CAN TAKE PART

Nomad Run is open worldwide except to residents of Italy, Spain, Portugal, Türkiye, Australia, mainland China, Quebec (Canada) and Brazil, and of countries subject to EU or US sanctions (currently including Russia, Belarus, Iran, Cuba, North Korea and Syria). Residents of excluded countries may join the run and contribute kilometers but are not eligible for the prize draw. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. You are responsible for checking that taking part is lawful where you live. "Residents" means legal residents at the time of registration and at the time the prize is transferred. Residents of Canada must correctly answer a time-limited skill-testing question before receiving the prize.
You must be 18 or older and of legal age in your country of residence at the time of registration. By registering you confirm this. The winner will be asked to provide proof of age and country of residence before the prize is transferred.
Genki employees, contractors, shareholders, Advisory Board members, staff of agencies involved in Nomad Run, and the immediate family members of all of these (spouse or partner, parents, children, siblings and anyone living in the same household) can join the run and contribute kilometers, but are not eligible for the prize draw.
Creators and partners paid by Genki to promote Nomad Run take part on the same terms as everyone else: one entry per kilometer, no additional entries, and no access to or influence over the draw. Their paid relationship with Genki is disclosed on their posts.

3. HOW TO ENTER

To take part and have your kilometers counted, you must do all of the following:

Register on the official Nomad Run page on Luma: https://luma.com/ccioshhu
Join the Nomad Run Strava club: https://www.strava.com/clubs/Nomadrun
Log each run or walk as an activity on Strava, visible in the club.
Share that Strava activity to your Instagram story and tag @stay_genki.

Registration and participation are free. No purchase is necessary. No Genki insurance policy or other product is required, and holding one gives no advantage. These rules are published at https://genki.world/nomad-run-official-rules and linked on the Luma page, in the Strava club description and in the @stay_genki Instagram bio for the duration of Nomad Run. One Luma registration and one Instagram account per participant; the registered person must be the holder of the Instagram and Strava accounts used. You must comply with the terms of Instagram, Strava and Luma; breaches may lead to removal from the draw.

4. HOW ENTRIES ARE COUNTED

Every full kilometer in a shared activity equals one entry in the draw. A 5.4 km run earns 5 entries. Distances are rounded down per activity. A maximum of 30 kilometers per calendar day (your local time) counts toward entries.
Running, walking and hiking all count equally.
Only activities that are logged on Strava and shared to an Instagram story that tags @stay_genki are counted. Activities that are logged but not shared, or shared without the tag, are not counted.
Your Instagram story must be visible to @stay_genki. If your account is private, make sure @stay_genki can see your stories or your entries cannot be recorded.
Strava activities can reveal where you live or train. We recommend enabling Strava's privacy zones and checking your activity visibility settings before sharing.
Each activity may be shared and counted once.
Only activities completed between 00:00 on September 15, 2026 and 23:59 on December 31, 2026 (your local time) count. Stories must be posted within 24 hours of the activity (your local time). Genki saves a copy of each qualifying story as its record of your entries (see section 9). Stories for activities completed on December 31, 2026 must be posted by 23:59 CET on January 1, 2027. Genki is not responsible for entries that cannot be recorded because of technical problems, outages or account settings on Instagram, Strava or Luma.
Genki tracks entries through Instagram story mentions of @stay_genki. Genki's record of entries is final, subject to mandatory law. If you believe an entry has not been counted, email legal@genki.team within 14 days of posting the story and Genki will check it. Genki's decision after this check is final.

5. FAIR PLAY

Only post activities you actually completed on foot or by wheelchair. Cycling, driving, GPS-drawn routes, treadmill activities without distance data, and any other activities that are not running, walking or hiking do not count.
Genki may review activities that appear inconsistent with running or walking (for example, unrealistic pace or distance) and exclude them from the count.
Genki may remove a participant from the draw, without notice (Genki will explain the reason on request), if it reasonably believes they have logged inaccurate or fraudulent activities or otherwise breached these rules.

6. THE PRIZE

There is one prize: €499 in cash, paid by bank transfer in euros. The amount equals the price of a one-year Wizz Air All You Can Fly membership; the winner is free to spend it on such a membership or on anything else. Genki does not purchase or provide any Wizz Air product and has no relationship with Wizz Air. The prize is personal and cannot be transferred or assigned. The winner is responsible for any taxes on the prize in their country of residence.

Payment is made within 30 days after the winner has confirmed acceptance and provided proof of eligibility and their bank details (IBAN or, outside the SEPA area, international bank details). Genki bears the transfer fees charged by its own bank; any fees, currency conversion costs or charges applied by the winner's bank or intermediary banks are borne by the winner. Genki pays only to an account in the winner's own name. Genki will not pay the prize to any person or account where this would breach EU or US sanctions law. Genki's obligation ends with the payment.

7. HOW THE WINNER IS CHOSEN

The lap closes at 23:59 CET / 22:59 UTC on December 31, 2026.
On January 2, 2027, one winner is drawn at random from all valid entries. The draw is carried out with a random-number tool on the complete list of valid entries, in the presence of two Genki team members, and is documented. Each entry has an equal chance. A participant with more kilometers has more entries and therefore a higher chance of winning.
The winner is contacted by Instagram direct message and by the email used to register on Luma. Messages come only from the @stay_genki account and from legal@genki.team. Genki will never ask for payment, card details or passwords to release the prize.
The winner must respond and confirm acceptance within 7 days of the notification being sent, and provide the requested proof of eligibility within 14 days. If they don't, or if they are found to be ineligible, Genki draws a new winner from the remaining entries. Genki repeats this up to three times; if no eligible winner accepts, the prize is not awarded.
Genki's decision is final, subject to mandatory law.

8. PUBLICITY AND CONTENT

By sharing your activities to your Instagram story and tagging @stay_genki, you allow Genki to repost, feature and reference those stories and your first name and Instagram handle on Genki's social channels, website and newsletter in connection with Nomad Run. For this purpose you grant Genki a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt (e.g. crop, add text) and publish the shared stories during Nomad Run and for up to 24 months afterwards. You confirm that you have the right to share the content, including any people, music or other third-party material in it. You can withdraw this permission at any time by emailing legal@genki.team; Genki will then stop using your content going forward (content already published may remain where removal is not reasonably possible). Genki is not obliged to use any content.
The winner agrees to be announced publicly by first name and Instagram handle on Genki's channels. Genki will confirm the winner's first name and country of residence to any participant who asks by email within 60 days of the draw.
Taking part does not create any obligation to produce content beyond what is needed to count your entries.

9. YOUR DATA

What we process and why:

Your name, email address and Instagram handle from your Luma registration, and the content of the stories in which you tag @stay_genki (including the activity data shown in them, such as distance, time and route): to run Nomad Run, count entries, prevent fraud and contact the winner. Legal basis: performance of our agreement with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for fraud checks, our legitimate interest in a fair draw (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The winner's name, address, date of birth, proof of eligibility and bank details: to verify eligibility, carry out sanctions screening required by law and transfer the prize. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and our legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Marketing emails: only if you tick the separate opt-in box on Luma. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link.

Recipients: Luma (registration), Meta/Instagram and Strava (platforms you use) and Genki's IT service providers. Luma and Meta are based in the USA; transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or EU standard contractual clauses. Genki does not share your data with Wizz Air.

Retention: Copies of qualifying stories and the entry list are kept until 3 months after the draw and then deleted. Winner and payment data are kept as long as tax and commercial law require (up to 10 years). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Nomad Run data is used only for the challenge. It is never used for insurance underwriting, pricing or claims handling. Genki does not derive any health information from your activity data.

Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority (for Genki: Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen). Registration is handled by Luma and activity tracking by Strava. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of those platforms.

10. GENERAL

Genki may change these rules, or pause or end Nomad Run, if something outside its control (including changes to Instagram or Strava services) makes it impossible to run the challenge as planned, or where a change is required by law or a competent authority. Any change will be announced on @stay_genki and on the Luma page. Changes will not remove entries you have already earned.
Nomad Run is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram, Meta, Strava, Luma or Wizz Air. By taking part you release Instagram/Meta, Strava, Luma and Wizz Air from all liability in connection with Nomad Run. Wizz Air's name is used only to illustrate the value of the cash prize; the prize is not a Wizz Air product.
Nomad Run is not an organized event. Genki does not provide routes, venues, supervision, medical or safety support, and has no control over when, where or how you run or walk. You decide this alone and take part at your own risk. Consult a doctor if you are unsure about your fitness. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Genki excludes all liability for personal injury, property damage or other loss arising from your participation, including your use of Instagram, Strava, Luma or third-party services. This exclusion does not apply where liability cannot be excluded by law, in particular for intent, gross negligence or Genki's own culpable injury to life, body or health.
Nomad Run has no connection to any Genki insurance policy; taking part does not affect any cover, premium or claim.
These rules are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live still apply.
If any provision of these rules is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
For participants who are not consumers, the courts of Cologne, Germany have exclusive jurisdiction.
