International health insurance

Wherever you call home
Genki Native is available for people from every country, including nomads without any legal residence. You can choose from 182-day or full year cover in your country of citizenship.
* Cover in USA is limited. Genki Native is not a replacement for "statutory health insurance" that may be required by law in some countries.

We’ve got your back. And the bill.
If you’re hospitalized, call our 24/7 emergency assistance hotline. Or have the hospital call us, while you focus on getting better. We'll arrange payment, monitor your treatment and can even move you to another hospital or fly you back home if needed.
For regular doctor’s visits and other "outpatient" care, you pay first and request reimbursement on our website.
We pay 80% of reimbursements in just 2 business days.
And if you need help or have any questions you can chat with our fast & friendly support team on WhatsApp anytime.

Pay for your first month when you sign up. After that, we charge your card each month.

You can cancel anytime after your first month.
Good to know
€0, €500 or €1,000
You pay this amount yourself each insurance year before Genki Native pays. A higher deductible lowers your monthly price. Hospital stays are never part of the deductible.
On both Native Basic and Native Premium, mental health care in hospital has a 6-month waiting period, unless it’s a life-threatening emergency. Dental care after an accident has no waiting period.
With Genki Native Premium:
- 3 months for checkups, vaccinations and basic dental care
- 6 months for mental health care, glasses and contact lenses
- 12 months for maternity care and major dental work, like crowns or implants
When you apply, you’ll fill out a short health questionnaire and get an answer right away: your application will be either accepted, accepted at a higher price, or rejected. If you’re accepted, pre-existing conditions are covered unless your Certificate of Insurance says otherwise. Make sure your answers were complete and accurate.
Each year, your monthly price is updated based on your age and worldwide medical costs.

Do you have any questions?
Genki Native is available for people from any country (including nomads without a legal residence anywhere), up to age 55 at the start of your cover. Once you're in, there's no age limit or end date, so your cover can continue for life.
You can sign up for Genki Native from anywhere in the world, even if you're already abroad. You answer a short health questionnaire for each person you want to insure. We'll give you an instant response, so you can do it all online in one go. Your coverage can begin as soon as 7 days after you sign up. You can check your price and sign up in minutes.
The price depends on your age, whether you choose Basic or Premium, and your deductible. For example, Genki Native Basic costs €189 per month for ages 20 to 24 with no deductible. You can lower the price by choosing a deductible of €500 or €1,000 per year.
Genki Native covers up to €1 million (Genki Native Basic) or €3.5 million (Genki Native Premium) of medical care per person per year, worldwide. That includes doctor visits, hospital stays, surgery, medication, emergency transport and, if needed, medical transport to another country. For hospital stays, our 24/7 emergency assistance pays the hospital directly, so you don't have to.
Genki Native covers you worldwide, in every country. There are a couple of things to keep in mind. In the United States, you're covered only for medical emergencies that start within 91 days of arriving. In your country of nationality, Genki Native Basic covers you for up to 182 days per stay (as long as you've been outside that country for at least 91 days first), while Genki Native Premium covers you with no day limit. Government-issued travel warnings don't affect your coverage.
Yes, Genki Native is suitable for most visas and residence permits that accept international health insurance. After you sign up, you'll get a Certificate of Insurance (in English) to include with your application. We cannot guarantee that your visa will be approved, since that's up to the discretion of the authorities, but if your visa is refused, you can withdraw anytime before your cover starts for a full refund.
Yes, Genki Native covers you on a motorbike or scooter, whether you're driving or riding as a passenger. If you're driving, you need to wear a helmet and have a valid license where it's required (on scooters and small motorbikes up to 125cc, you're covered even without one).
Yes, you can add your partner and children to Genki Native, and each person gets their own cover and price based on their age (children can join from birth). If you've had Genki Native for at least 3 months when your baby is born, your newborn can be covered from day one with no waiting periods, as long as you add them within 2 months of the birth.
Genki Native can cover pre-existing conditions on a case-by-case basis, but only if they're declared and approved by the insurer. When you apply, you'll answer a few health questions, and we'll let you know right away whether you're accepted as is, accepted with adjustments (like a higher price or an excluded condition), or declined. You can apply just to see the result, with no obligation to sign up.
If you pay for treatment yourself (like a doctor's visit), upload your invoices in the Member Center, with the date, the provider's name and address, your name, and an itemized list of costs on each one. We pay 80% of reimbursement requests within 2 business days.
